There's No Such Thing As Indecent Exposure in Hungary

It seems that public nudity is so common these days that even The Economist is writing about it. Here in Hungary, the situation has got so out of hand that nobody even noticed Czech/Slovak cult drink Kofola flaunting its wares to promote the psuedo-cola's launch in Hungary until international fast car portal Autounleashed.com posted the above snap.

All of which is likely to leave any prudish westerner wondering whether this kind of advertising is altogether legal, or at the very least considered decent. Part of the answer was revealed in the follow up to last week's public transport sex competition on Goldengate.hu, the smut portal operated by local porn king Kovi. According to state TV channel MTV's website, backward Budapest Transport Authority BKV has reported the competition entrants to police for "közszeméremsértés, the Hungarian equivalent of "indecent exposure," claiming that the flashers disturbed other passengers. At this point, we must bare in mind (pun intended) that definitions of "indecent" and "exposure" differ. For Kovi's part, he argued that the competition rules forbade entrants from shocking other passengers and that he had no knowledge of any passenger complaints. What it comes down to is that whether commuters take the car, bus or tram, nothing makes the journey go by quicker than a braless top, a pair of white transparent pants or, best of all, a flash of muff.
